This “throwback” concert band work hearkens back to the late Romantic style of von Suppe, Tchaikovsky, Rossini, and many other composers of the era, making it a delightfully fun work to put together and perform.  The work celebrates the end of World War I and the years of peace and celebration that followed this conflict and quotes the French national anthem, La Marseillaise, in places.  Frequent changes of tempo, style, and key will keep your students and audiences on their toes and having a great time!
